Let loose in London: Bond in Motion | teacups and tealights

I 100% prefer buying presents than receiving them. Anyone else? It's getting to watch them open a present that you know they will love and seeing them be so pleased with it. It's my boyfriend's 19th birthday next Tuesday and knowing him very well makes it even more fun going present shopping (though it can damage your bank balance!). I decided that I wanted to take him somewhere awesome as one of his two birthday presents, so I began the Google search. Eventually I found something ideal and I marveled at the perfection. An exhibition in the London Film Museum, Covent Garden featuring most of the iconic vehicles from the James Bond film franchise. 1) He is a hardcore James Bond fan, 2) he is madly in love with the Aston Martin DB5, along with several other well known Bond cars. I don't think I could have found a better gift.

Pwetty flowers | teacups and tealights

I feel the need to share this beautiful bunch of flowers my colleagues gave me as a leaving present. I don't often receive bunches of flowers so on the rare occasion that I do I obsess over them and get really happy. That probably sounds quite strange but they are so lovely so here is a snap!

Skulduggery Pleasant review | teacups and tealights

Do you read the book series Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy?

If yes, I love you and I understand what you're going through right now.

If no...

Then friend, let me explain to you a thing.

Lucky girl | teacups and tealights

Does everyone feel extra special on their birthday? I know for some people it goes by and they don't really want it to be noticed, but whenever anyone says 'Happy Birthday!' to me, be it someone I don't know very well or my closest friend, I get a snug warm feeling in my tummy.

Not only did many people at college wish me a happy birthday but one of my friends got me a lovely little birthday present! As all my friends know how much I adore London, my close friend Hannah got me a London themed notebook set, which is dinky enough to put in my handbag and jot down anything that comes to mind. I have been told many times that you should always carry a notebook. You can collect inspiration anywhere :)

Let loose in London: The Shard | teacups and tealights

If there is one thing that all my friends and family know about me, it's that London is one of my true loves. I can't get enough of that city. I go as often as I can which is usually once every few months. I have had some amazing opportunity's given to me involving visiting London, but mostly it's just a much needed visit with a friend of mine. Last weekend was one of those much needed visits. Last weekend I was staying with my cousins in Tunbridge Wells, and on the Saturday we got the train to London after booking tickets to go up The Shard. For someone who is head over heels for London, this is a big thing.
