Collectif party in Brighton? Don't mind if I do!
I was excited about this party as soon as Collectif posted their plans on Facebook. Three parties to celebrate their new Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, one in their Spitalfields Market store, the second in their Brighton Bond Street store and the last in Camden Market.
I was sold on the idea immediately as I love the brand so much, but with free bubbly, singers and vintage hair styling... how could I not go?
All of the staff looked so glamorous and there was a near constant stream of people coming through the door. The party was so busy which made the store really quite cramped and stuffy. I'm using this as the reason I think Collectif should host more parties in bigger venues!
Despite my slight claustrophobia, I was happy for the success of the party. I had a champagne flute in hand and listened to the Victory Sisters whilst having my hair styled by one of the fabulous Collectif ladies, Katie Pedlow. When the Victory Sisters started singing Glenn Miller's 'The Woodpecker', people walking by the store starting coming in to watch the performance. It was brilliant to see.
I look a very flushed in the above photo - it really was quite hot in there!
I really was so thrilled with the result, and very flattered when the event photographer asked to take my photo on the stage when the singers had finished. My face isn't that fab here but I adore the hair!
Well done for an utterly marvellous party Collectif! As you'll see in my next blog post, the best event was yet to come...
